The Sigma 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens is part of the Sigma Contemporary series. The lens is designed for Sony’s APS-C cropped sensor E mount cameras. The lens gives an 84mm equivalent focal length on these cropped sensors. The prime feature of this lens is its fast and bright f/1.4 aperture that makes this lens bring life to low light conditions while also giving the user strong control over depth of field and selective focus. The lens would prove to make stunning portrait shots given its unique focal length. There are two aspherical elements inside along with an SLD element.

These reduce chromatic aberrations and color distortion to bring out maximum clarity and sharpness in the images. On the front, a Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces any lens flare that may occur from working in bright conditions. This also gives sharper contrast and color accuracy.
